The Saco Arts Commission and the planning committee for HarborFest are accepting submissions for the Artwork Design Contest of the Camp Ellis HarborFest.
Original artwork can be submitted by artists from Maine. This artwork will be featured on the Promotional Products and materials and merchandise for this year’s HarborFest.
The theme for this year’s HarborFest is “Anchored in Community” and submissions should reflect the supportive and connected nature of the area. A cash prize will be given to the winning artist in addition to a HarborFest poster and tee shirt, both of which will showcase the design.
All artwork submitted needs to be original and done by a single artist. Each artist is limited to one submission, which should be appropriate for a family-friendly event. Each submission should include a short statement about the artists and two to three sentences about the piece being submitted which may include references to its inspiration, vision, influences, and/or mediums used.
Camp Ellis HarborFest is a vibrant, homegrown community festival that celebrates the thriving working waterfront of Saco and its continuing efforts to restore and rebuild Camp Ellis Beach, and features family-friendly fun and delicious local food. Sponsored by generous local businesses and the city of Saco, this event brings everyone together for a day of joy, connection, and pride in the coastal community.
