Construction work has been taking place near the Maine Mall and Sebago Brewing Company along Payne Road in Scarborough, with a new hotel set to attract more tourists to the Maine coast in Saco.
Banner printing can be used at such sites to inform those in the area of new hotels and their benefits for a region.
Called HomeAwhile, it will be an extended stay hotel. People can stay at the hotel for longer vacations, work, or a longer visit to see friends and family. It is designed so that those who stay at the hotel feel like they are living in their own apartment.
There are several room types in the hotel including suites with queen- and king-size beds, a suite that has its own laundry service, and a suite with two bedrooms and complete privacy. Prices will be kept affordable, with the lowest price beginning in the low $100s per night.
The hospitality group behind the hotel, Maine Course, is hoping that this extended stay model with apartment-style units will attract attention and develop into a chain. The hospitality group believes that their hotel has the feel of an Airbnb while also providing the same services as most hotels, like parking, a fitness center, housekeeping services, and laundry.
HomeAwhile is scheduled to open sometime next month.
