County Bar Association makes large donations to local schools

Anne Arundel County, which includes the city of Annapolis, has received a large donation from the Anne Arundel Bar Association (AABA).

The attorneys have worked closely with the community for over a dozen years to provide financial support to fund programs for needy students.

In previous years, the AABA has helped fund the Back to School Program. This program helps children who cannot afford Backpacks and schools supplies. The donation this year will be used to fund the Weekend Food Program, which assists with providing easy to fix meals for students who are not able to or may not be getting enough nutrition on the weekends. This year’s donation was $15,345.

Organizations like the AABA often use the likes of Posters and other printed materials to raise awareness of their cause. The bar association will continue its efforts for many years to come to help support the cause, considering its endeavours to be a “duty and privilege”.

The AABA’s charity contributions extend to purchasing $1,300 in gift cards to provide to unaccompanied or homeless youth in the area. The cards are from Target, Chick-fil-A, and Chipotle, and they will be used as holiday gifts. All the donations help the Anne Arundel County Public Schools. The schools system’s mission is to “elevate all students and eliminate all gaps.”
