Annapolis sets date for pop up plant sale
Savvy green thumbs know that a local not-for-profit plant sale provides a chance to do a good turn while filling their beds, and an Annapolis venue has organized one of these activities for next month.
Shoppers at the William Paca Garden Plant Sale will have access to a wide assortment species, and tickets may be purchased in advance. It has been a local tradition for over 40 decades, and at least 8,000 plants will be on offer.
The function will include perennials, annuals, vines, trees and also vegetable transplants for anyone who would like to get a jump start on their spring veggie planting. Both old and new cultivars will be included, making it a chance to add heritage varieties to a garden. There will be personnel on hand to offer advice and tips, and the monies raised will support the organizer’s projects.
Pop-up plant sales are a common sight during the spring months, and they may offer access to species and cultivars not commonly seen in the trade. A poster printing company can prepare materials that help to build community buzz ahead of an event.
The William Paca Garden Plant Sale will be helping to fill Annapolis gardens on Saturday, May 10 at 1 Martin Street. Tickets, as well as more details for the shoppers, can be found on its website.
