Annapolis will host the Baygrass Music Festival to benefit the Chesapeake Bay and raise mental health awareness this September.
The two-day event is about conservation and community, and blends the unique sounds of jamgrass, progressive bluegrass, and Americana music. In the past, similar festivals have used flyer printing to advertise their events.
The event begins with a Friday kick-off party at the Maryland Hall Main Theatre. Jammy Buffet will take to the stage to perform two full sets of Jimmy Buffet tunes, including some of his deep cuts. Cumberland Honey will also be performing, and Ashling Kitchen & Bar will be serving up a full menu that includes specialty cheeseburgers.
In terms of food options, flavors are abundant in the form of fresh crab cakes, gourmet BBQ, and a variety of vegetarian and vegan options.
There will be plenty of fun activities to take part in as well. Festivalgoers will be able to participate in a game of Cornhole on the beach as well as in a range of other beach and yard games, including beachside yoga. Musical and educational workshops will also be abundant, and there will also be a mental health workshop.
The Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival will take place on September 19 and 20 atSandy Point State Park. Both tickets and VIP experiences are available, and can be purchased on the festival's website.
