As another fall gets underway, Annapolis gardeners will be getting ready to put their gardens to bed for the winter, and a workshop will provide tips that will make the process friendly to both birds and bees.
Ann Sawyer, who is a local horticultural expert, will be sharing her knowledge when she discusses fall gardening tasks. She has a lot of personal experience with native plant gardening, and the information may be helpful for almost any size of garden.
The participants will discover how they can still have a great-looking yard while reducing their seasonal clean up chores. They will find out how they can incorporate the inclusion of winter shelter for wildlife in their plans, and choosing food sources for native species is on the agenda as well. Creating fall plantings that provide colorful autumn foliage will wrap up the discussion.
Many gardeners are eager to add to their knowledge, and a workshop can make it easy for them to do so. A brochure printing company can prepare hangouts that include colorful pictures to inspire the recipients to get to work in their own beds.
The Community Meeting Room located at 45 West McKinsey Road in Severna Park has made arrangements to offer this class on Monday, October 2. Everyone is asked to arrive by no later than 6:00 pm.
