VR workshop to bring Lowell into the future

Next month, Upskill Reskill will host the Master Virtual Reality in Four Weekends Training Course in Lowell for anyone interested in learning the basics of virtual reality (VR).

Upskill Reskill is a provider of professional education training courses for both individuals and businesses in areas such as graphic design and development, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, and data analytics. The organization works to provide an inclusive, flexible, and hands-on learning environment for professionals to upskill and reskill.

December’s virtual reality workshop is designed for those who have no experience in virtual reality technology or even computer programming. The course will go over the fundamentals of VR, such as tracking, optics, stereopsis, and major hardware platforms. Some examples of topics in the course outline include basic history of VR development, working with interaction in VR, developing a working prototype, and testing prototypes. Attendees will need either a computer running Mac OS X (10.8+) or Windows 7, 8, or 10 to complete the course.

The Master Virtual Reality in Four Weekends Training Course will take place from December 4 to January 2, for two hours on Saturdays and two hours on Sundays on a virtual platform. Early bird tickets are available for $399 until November 20, after which the price will increase to $499. For more information on how to register, visit Upskill Reskill’s website.
