Lowell locals and visitors alike should note that the popular winter festival Lowell Winterfest will be returning this year for two days of seasonal fun.
The Winterfest will take place on a Friday and Saturday this year, with most activities taking place at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. There will be a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy, including live music by local and regional artists, food vendors, and an art market.
There will also be an outdoor artificial ice-skating rink set up for daily public skating. Attendees are welcome to bring their own skates or borrow some from event organizers. Guests are also invited to join the Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust at Hawk Valley Farm to explore the area for wildlife traces.
Other festival activities include a soup competition, a Family Fun Zone with a carousel and games, and a chocolate festival. Admission to the chocolate festival is separate from the rest Winterfest and will include all-you-can-eat chocolate, raffles, and giveaways of Promotional Products.
The Lowell Winterfest is scheduled for February 18 and February 19. Different activities have different start and end times, so for more information, visit the festival’s website. Attendance to the main festival area is free, but certain activities may require purchasing tickets at the door, such as the chocolate festival, which is $10.
