What's Happening in Lowell, MA…

Marianne Busteed of Chelmsford has recently been appointed as interim head of school for Lowell High School.

Busteed expressed her excitement about landing the position, as she has been attracted to the school for a long time due its traditions, quality employees, and diverse community. She plans to apply for the permanent position once the opening is announced.

Before entering the field of education in the 1990s, Busteed worked in human resources for over a decade. She was involved in a variety of jobs as paraprofessional, substitute teacher, and house clerk for the schools in Chelmsford as she worked towards earning her certification in teaching.

Her first teaching position was in 2003 at Nashua South High School. She then became assistant principal, and four years ago was hired as principal of the school.

She expects that her background in human resources will help her to build collaboration with people in the school and create a team environment. In preparing to work at Lowell High School, she has been reading biographies and watching videos of those at the school, and will be visiting the school soon to learn about what works at the school and where improvements need to be made.

Schools often use the assistance of a brochure printing company to give more information about new personnel and their plans for the school.
