Lowell to stitch up some fun at beginner workshop

Next month, Rosa Croughwell of Crochet Well will hold the Crochet Basic Stitches – Level 1 Workshop in Lowell for any novice crocheters looking to expand their crocheting knowledge.

Rosa Croughwell is the founder of Crochet Well, a crochet shop that sells amigurumi, or small crocheted animals, based on children's Books. She also holds classes for the public to learn crocheting skills. The Level 1 Workshop in July will be a follow-up class to the Level 0 Workshop that introduced students to the very basics of crocheting.

The Crochet Basic Stitches class will build on the skills taught in the Level 0 class, but participants do not need to have attended the class. They will, however, need to know how to crochet a chain stitch and a single crochet stitch. For those who are rusty on these skills, Rosa will provide a refresher session before moving on to the new skills. The Level 1 class will teach the half double crochet stitch, double crochet stitch, treble crochet stitch, and slip stitch.

Crafting workshops can benefit from flyer advertising, and local Print shops often offer flyer printing services for area businesses to professionally print their materials in bulk.

The crochet class is scheduled for July 18 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. It will be held at Western Avenue Studios & Lofts located at122 Western Avenue, Studio 400. Tickets are priced at $35.
