This June, the University of Massachusetts Lowell will host the 2024 UMass Lowell Women's Leadership Conference to prepare female professionals for the fast-changing work environment of today and tomorrow.
The UMass Lowe;l Women’s leadership Conference’s mission is to provide relevant, practical, and focused content and programming to help women professionals navigate the ever-changing and complex business world.
The keynote speakers will be Amaka Ubaka, an Emmy-Award winning journalist, and Barbara Vlacich, vice president of global sales operations and strategic programs at UKG. Vlacich will lead the morning keynote, and Ubaka will lead the afternoon presentation.
Other panels will discuss topics such as gender stereotypes in the corporate world, how to turn passion into profit, how to prevent burnout and recover from already established burnout, how to build confidence in a professional life, and how to take networking to the next level. There will be lunch provided, along with a closing reception.
Professional conferences like this typically involve many networking activities. As such, guests may decide to bring along a fresh supply of Business Cards to hand out during the event.
The women’s conference is scheduled for Thursday, June 13 from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. It will take place at UMass Lowell Tsongas Center, located at 300 Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Early bird tickets are $199, and regular tickets are $249.
