The Lowell Firefighters Road Race will be held this October to support community firefighters and raise money for a local firefighter who suffered a stroke last year.
The road race is typically held each year as a way to highlight the important role that Lowell firefighters play in the community and to honor their sacrifice and commitment to keeping the town and its residents safe. The race this year is also a special one because a portion of the proceeds will go towards helping firefighter Chanth So and his family. Chanth So was a dedicated race organizer, but suffered a hemorrhagic stroke last year and is currently in recovery.
The race will 3.1 miles and will start and finish at the Lowell Firefighters Club. There will be a firefighters team category, as well as male and female age categories to compete in. The afterparty will feature a free beer keg while supplies last, along with barbeque and snacks plus entertainment and activities.
