In August, EforAll will host the Foodie Venture Pitch Contest for any early-stage entrepreneurs with a promising food business they would like to pitch for a chance to win cash prizes.
EforAll, standing for Entrepreneurship for All, is a Lowell business development service promoting inclusiveness in entrepreneurship and business as a whole. The organization focuses on investing a variety of resources into communities so that everyone has a chance to grow a business. The Foodie Venture Pitch was designed to encourage those in the community who have a food business idea to share it with others, including a panel of experts who can share advice.
At the pitch, pre-selected participants will share a two-and-a-half-minute pitch about their food business or related food business idea. They will receive feedback on their idea and will compete for cash prizes. The grand prize winner will win $1,000, the second-place winner gets $750, and the third-place winner claims $500. The audience fan favorite will also go home with $500.
The Foodie Venture Pitch is slated for August 11, beginning at 6:00 pm. The venue will be UMass Lowell Innovation Hub. There is no fee to participate, but participants must have their applications in by July 20.
