Next month, UMass Lowell Innovation Hub will present The Clean Green Challenge, a pitch contest revolving around environmental sustainability and clean energy.
The pitch contest will be hosted by UMass Lowell Innovation Hub in conjunction with Alder Innovations and UMass Lowell RIST Institute, bringing together the Massachusetts environmental sciences community. The contest will call upon ambitious and creative local startups to come up with sustainability solutions to some of today’s most pressing environmental issues. The pitches will be presented to a panel of judges, and winners will have the chance to take home prizes worth thousands of dollars.
The event will begin with registration and a networking session where participants, sponsors, and guests can mix and mingle, making new connections and establishing partnerships. After this, the pitches before the judges will begin. After that there will be the prize announcement and more chances to network, as well as food offerings and beverage service.
Events such as this that heavily involve networking may encourage attendees to refresh their supply of Business Cards, which can be done at local shops specializing in business card printing.
The green pitch challenge is scheduled for April 20 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It will take place at UMass Lowell Innovation Hub at 110 Canal Street on the 3rd Floor. Admission is free for spectators.
