The Lowell Area Chamber Business Partners will host the 28th Annual Riverwalk Festival, an outdoor festival along the city’s Riverwalk with activities suitable for the whole family to enjoy.
The festival began 28 years ago to serve as an annual fundraiser for the newly formed Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce. It has grown from a two-day event to a two-night, one-day extravaganza boasting a multitude of activities and entertainment. The first two nights will be devoted to live concerts on the Riverwalk, and a full day on Saturday will include events such as markets, kids’ activities, and exhibitions.
On the main day of the festival, Flea on the Flat River will be open, allowing attendees to peruse a large flea market brimming with vendors. The more fitness-oriented guests may enjoy the Run the River 5K and Bill and Paul’s Kaya/SUP/Canoe Race. Car buffs can visit the Riverwalk Cruise-In, and families with children can spend time at the Kidz Zone. There will also be food booths, a blood bus, a used book sale, and raffles and giveaways.
Festivals involving raffles may include Promotional Products from sponsors in the prize inventory to connect potential patrons with businesses in the area.
The Riverwalk Festival is scheduled for July 6, 7, and 8. It will be held at the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 113 Riverwalk Plaza. Admission is free.
