The University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass) will hold the UMass Lowell Women's Leadership Conference in June to offer inspiring programming and networking opportunities for local businesswomen.
The UMass Lowell Women's Leadership Conference was founded in 2016 by Chancellor Jacqueline Moloney, who was also the first female chancellor of UMass Lowell. The conference was created to bring together talented women from a range of different fields, including education, government, business, and the non-profit sector, to learn from each other, meet mentors, build influence, and hone new skills.
This year’s conference will not only feature the robust networking opportunities, informative programming, and powerful speakers that previous years have boasted, but also a professional photographer providing complimentary headshots for attendees. Topics to be discussed will include how to accelerate one’s career using personal branding, create authentic social connections, deal with imposter syndrome, and navigate gender politics at work. The recommended attire for the conference will be business casual.
Print shops offering business card printing and other printed networking tools may see an uptick in business when professional conferences such as this come to town.
The women’s leadership conference is scheduled for June 21 from 7:45 am to 5:30 pm. It will be held at UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center, which is located at 50 Warren Street. The conference registration fee is $199.
