Kronos finds new home in Lowell

Lowell will soon become the new United States headquarters for Kronos, a high-tech firm specializing in workforce management solutions.

The corporate headquarters will be at Cross Point in its first tower. The company will occupy 400,000 square feet at this time.

The architectural firm, Packard Design, has been hired to renovate the space into a modernized facility, with an open-floor plan that will offer a great deal of natural light to foster team building and collaboration. The cost for the renovations is expected to be around $40m.

By the summer of 2017, Kronos intends to occupy every floor of the first tower at Cross Point, thereby uniting all its employees under one roof. Among the amenities it plans to offer in the tower are an onsite daycare facility, a conference center with a 500-person auditorium, a 24-hour fitness center and games room, and a brand new Tavern in the Square restaurant, bar, and patio scheduled to open in the next few months.

According to chief executive officer of Kronos, Aron Ain, an assessment of current employee commute patterns and available real estate made Lowell the ideal location for the new company headquarters, which will help in the company’s ability to attract and retain top talent and accommodate future growth plans.

In preparation for the move, Kronos will no doubt need to hire Stationery printers for its new stationery and potentially business card needs.
