Annual art event comes to Lowell Area

The Westford Regional Art Event for 2017 will be hosted by the Parish Center for the Arts, and is inviting artists of all ages to participate.

Those who live in nearby Lowell will no doubt want to take advantage of this opportunity to display their work. The event is held once a year and is designed to showcase both emerging and established artists from Westford and surrounding communities.

The Parish Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization and is run completely by volunteers. Its goal is to encourage people of all ages to share their work with others in an open forum.

Artwork submitted for the event will be judged in several categories—children, grades kindergarten through two, grades three through five, grades six through eight, young adults (grade nine through the age of 21), and adults.

Those who wish to exhibit their art need to register by Saturday, March 25. Work can be dropped off by artists during the evening of Sunday, March 26 and the morning of Monday, March 27. On Friday evening, March 31, there will be a reception and awards ceremony for adults and young adults. For children, this will be on the afternoon of April 1.

The Parish Center for the Arts might want to consider creating Flyers that can be distributed throughout Westford and the surrounding communities to make people aware of the event and encourage the exhibition of their artwork.
