The planning board of Foxboro recently approved an addition to Gillette Stadium.
The venue will feature a three-story building of 20,000 square feet in size behind it, and would have offices for employees and storage space to accommodate changes to the stadium.
The plan calls for the first floor to be open for pedestrians and vehicles with staff and storage space to be located on the second and third floors. Most patrons to the stadium would not see the addition as it will be in an area off limits to the general public.
This need for addition storage and space for employees was due to the renovation and addition of a club area in the south end zone, which displaced employees and reduced some of the storage space for the stadium.
Several questions to the planning were posed by Police Chief Ed O’Leary, Fire Chief Roger Hatfield, and Building Commissioner Bill Casbarra. According to the city’s Patch.com site though, these questions were all answered to their satisfaction.
Stadium officials may turn to flyer printing services to create Flyers and mailers to be sent out to the community with further details about the project.
The New England Patriots, New England Revolution, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst Football team have Gillette Stadium as their home field. The stadium also hosts various other sporting events and major concert tours.Get a Free Quote for Flyers
