Foxborough to host festival of short films
The Foxboro Short Film Festival will be coming to the Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center in Foxborough next month.
This event will feature 21 original short films created by filmmakers from around the world. The event is free and open to the public, friends, and filmmakers.
The doors will open at 3:30 p.m. From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. there will be a screening od selected films and questions and answers for 15 minutes. Another block of films will be shown from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with 15 minutes of questions and answers.
From 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., there will be the red carpet with many opportunities for photographs. There will also be a reception and networking. From 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. there will be an award ceremony with selected films from each category.
Such unique events can be promoted throughout a town and neighboring communities with flyer printing.
Jaden Onwuakor, a nominee three times for an Emmy, created this film festival last year when he 13 years old. Onwuakor has appeared in many movies, on television, and in commercials, and has worked with such stars as Liam Neeson and Halle Bailey, and has modeled for such brands as Canon, Converse, and Hasbro. Onwuakor is hoping to attend the United States Coast Guard Academy.
