The Senior Center in Foxborough will be hosting several events later this month.
Such events are often promoted throughout a town with poster printing.
Those who have chosen to join the group trip to Ireland this June will be able to enjoy a selection of tour videos of Ireland by Rick Steeves, to get better prepared for the occasion. Refreshments will be served. This event will take place at 2:30pm on Monday, March 18.
Author Henry Quinlan will be presenting “50 Years of Publishing” the following day, which is a collection of stories from notable people who Quinlan has met in his 50 years of publishing. He will talk about his meetings with celebrities such as Leiv Schreibner, and politicians that include George H.W. Bush and Ted Kennedy. This event will take place at 3:45pm on Tuesday, March 19.
The second annual Mah Jongg Tournament will be a full day event, and will take place close to the end of the month. It is recommended that those who participate have at least one year of experience.
The National Mah Jongg League card of 2023 will be used, so those who have the card should bring it with them to the tournament. This event is designed to promote friendships while offering a tournament held in a courteous and gracious manner. A lunch of pizza will be provided. This event will take place on Friday, March 22 from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
