Founders Day will be held in Foxborough this weekend.
To start the day, there will be a parade at 10:00 am, which will begin on Central Street, travel through town, go up South Street, and end on Carpenter Street at the Igo School. Among the participants will be the Foxborough Cultural Council, Bay Coast Bank, Foxborough High School Marching Band, and the New Liberty Jazz Band.
In front of the Senior Center will be a reviewing stand for judging the floats. The categories for judging are “Most Original” and “Most Beautiful.” The announcement of the winning floats will take place at 12:30 pm.
After the parade, the field behind the Igo School will be filled with live music, games, and cow chip bingo. Local non-profit organizations will be hosting games, selling raffle tickets, and offering tasty treats. There will also be a demonstration from the Fire Department and live animals.
From noon to 1:00 pm will be the Boys and Girls Doll Carriage parade at the Booth Tennis Courts and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm will be the Warrior Cup Street Hockey Tournament for 2023. Later in the evening will be a show of fireworks from behind the Sam Berns Field at Foxboro High School.
Poster printing can be useful for an annual town-wide summer event like this. Founders Day will be held on Saturday, June 10.
