Foxborough center to keep seniors busy in September

Several events will be taking place at the Senior Center in Foxborough later this month. The likes of these are often promoted to seniors in a town with flyer printing and other printing services.

The Sunrise Cardio Workout video series will be offered weekly by Lauren from Senior Shape Fitness. Lasting 30 minutes, the session is aimed at those who want an easy workout early in the morning. This will be offered every Monday this month at 8:15 am.

There will be a Football Kickoff Cookout to get the football season started. Attendees can wear the colors of their favorite team and show their pride while enjoying hot dogs, hamburgers, and cheeseburgers. This is hosted by the Sue Marshall Realty team and will be at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18. There will also be a luncheon outing to the Horse and Carriage restaurant at 1:00 pm on that same day.

There will be workshops that will offer an introduction to playing guitar. Catering to beginners, it will focus on rhythm, fundamental techniques, and some songs by the Beatles. Participants will learn about chords, the structure of songs, and musical patterns in an engaging and supportive environment. This will be on Friday mornings at 10:00 am. The cost is $35 per month and sign-up is requested in advance. Guitars can be provided on request.
