Foxboro set for electrifying performance

The Electric Youth, an ensemble of young singers and dancers, will be holding a special performance at Showcase Live at Patriot Place in Foxboro tonight.

This comes just days before the group will be going on a three-week concert tour of Italy and Austria. It will be the 11th tour of Europe for the group, which will be returning to Aviano Air Force Base on Independence Day to entertain the troops and their families that are stationed abroad.

Electric Youth began in 1998 as a large musical theater ensemble and made a trip to Vienna. They have now become a dynamic group of diverse dancers and singers and act as ambassadors of the youth of America overseas. The group is trained exclusively at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts. Members of the group for each year need to audition.

The European venues of the group have included embassies, elegant theatres, American military bases, and outdoor concert stages in cities and resort towns. In America, the performances of Electric Youth have included ones for the Democratic National Convention, the local Fox television station, and the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.

The concert will be on Friday June 13 at 7:30 pm. The use of a variety of printing services can help to make the community aware of this special event.
