The Cannon Theatre in Devens will be presenting Legally Blonde Jr. at the end of next week.
A musical for children and teenagers, it is based on the movie with the same title and brings high energy, unique characters, and memorable songs.
The story is about Elle Woods, a valley girl and sorority sister, who attends the Law School at Harvard to try to win back her former boyfriend, Warner. In the musical she discovers that she can help others with the knowledge of the law and defends Brooke Wyndham in a murder trial. She stays true to herself despite expectations and surprises many who have little faith in her.
Tara Tremblett is the director of the show with musical direction by Diane Guenard. The choreography is by Kaitlyn Scott and Shawn Cannon.
Such special shows can be promoted throughout a town and surrounding communities with poster printing.
The Cannon Theatre’s mission is to serve the community by offering a wide variety of productions and theatrical experiences that both entertain and benefit attendees. Artists and audiences of all ages are welcome to grow and learn in the theater’s collaborative and fun environment. The theater is on Andrews Parkway in Devens.
The first performance is next Friday, January 31, beginning at 7:00 pm. Further shows are scheduled for February 1, 2, 7, 8, and 9.
