Seasonal event in Littleton draws crowds

Residents of Littleton recently came out for face painting, live music, and a celebration of a sense of community for the monthly third Thursday event held over the summer months. Held in Fay Park, this event is becoming a tradition of the town that helps to bring community groups, businesses, and artisans and those from neighboring communities, such as Devens, together.

Banner printing can be used to make those in the town and surrounding communities aware of such special events.

Live entertainment was provided by the band Rushmore, who played many popular songs from the 1990s. Assistant director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Education, Tim Michalski, highlighted the many booths at the event when the band took a break. Among the most unique booths was one sponsored by the Littleton Robotics Club which Michalski emceed and another, Giant Jenga, which was a popular table-top game, but in a much larger version.

Michalski commented that typically between 250 and 300 people attend Third Thursday, although attendance can be affected by the weather. It is an event that has been taking place for the past 12 years and also helps to raise the visibility of Fay Park. He added that it is family-friendly event that enables kids to run around and enjoy themselves.

The next Third Thursday will be held on August 15 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
