A contract development and manufacturing organization based in Pennsylvania is planning to invest $30 million to expand its ability to produce antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) at its facility in Devens. Veranova specializes in manufacturing ingredients for complex active pharmaceuticals.
The company is also planning to address the demand for the manufacturing of ADCs and other molecules od a small nature in the United States. The project will include two new suites that will be able to handle compounds that are potent and a high-potent process development lab. There will also be isolator technology, airlocks for operations that are clean-in-place, dedicated air handling systems, and a wide range of processing capabilities as part of the expansion project.
Banner printing is often employed at such sites where expansion will be taking place to inform residents of such projects.
The chief executive of Veranova, Mike Riley, said that the company recognizes that there is a growing demand for the development and manufacturing of ADCs and other compounds with high potency. He said that this expansion demonstrates the commitment of the company to providing state-of-the-art capabilities and capacity to enable these new therapies to reach patients and is important as the company looks to continue to grow in the future.
The facility in Devens has been operational for more than 10 years and produces commercial- and clinical-grade ADC linker-payloads and other highly potent active pharmaceutical ingredients.
