New musical to be featured in Devens
“Seussical the Musical,” a show that should entertain viewers of all ages, will be coming to the Cannon Theatre in Devens later this month.

This show features the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, and everyone’s favorite characters from Dr. Seuss. In this show, the Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton the Elephant, who finds a small piece of dust in which there are tiny people called the Whos. It is Horton’s job to protect these tiny people, as well as an abandoned egg, while facing danger, ridicule, and a trial. The powers of community, family, loyalty, and friendship emerge in the show, as the elephant emerges triumphant.
The new home of the Cannon Theatre, a non-profit community theater, is on Andrews Parkway in Devens, above Anytime Fitness. The mission of the theatre is to offer a wide range of productions and experiences that entertain and benefit people of all ages, and provide a collaborative and fun environment for both artists and audiences.
Performances are at 7:00 pm for two successive weekends on the Friday and Saturday: on January 27 and 28, and February 3 and 4. There is an additional 2:00 pm matinee show on Sunday, January 29, as well as on Saturday, February 4 and Sunday, February 5.
