New comedy to come to theater in Devens
“Boeing Boeing” will be presented at The Cannon Theatre on Andrews Parkway in Devens starting at the end of this month.
This play is a French farce from the 1960s filled with uproarious chaos and physical comedy. Directed by Martha Brooks, it will be the first show in the 2022-2023 season at The Cannon Theatre. It is also the fourth show being staged in its performance space, which has been recently renovated.
Such shows and others of the season can be promoted throughout the community with flyer printing.
The show is the story of the escapades and antics of Bernard Lawrence, who lives in Paris and is an American architect. He juggles three fiancées and can do so as long as flight schedules stay the same, as each is from a different airline and is unaware of the other two fiancées. This arrangement works for him until Boeing releases a new jet and flight times are shortened. Lawrence and his maid now are faced with managing the new schedules, and both his relationships and his overall life become increasingly complicated.
Showtimes are Fridays October 28, November 4, and November 11 and Saturdays October 28, November 5, and November 12 at 7:30 pm. There will be a matinee performance on Sunday, November 6 and Sunday, November 13 at 2:00 pm.
