Music and dog celebration to be held in Devens
Devens will be holding a Dog and Music Festival later this month.
Featured at the festival will be Neon Alley, a local band. It will also be a day filled with vendors, dogs, food, and demonstrations. Attendees are encouraged to bring their dogs so they can participate in special events and contests, including such activities as a lure course.
There will also be a special raffle tent, picnic tables, and games for the family. Parking and admission to the festival are free. Dogs coming to the festival need to be on a leash of six feet and have proof of a current rabies vaccination.
Such special and unique events are often promoted throughout a community and surrounding towns with poster printing.
The primary sponsor of the festival is End of Summer Party. Additional sponsors include The Columbia Tavern and Vodka for Dog People. All proceeds from the festival will benefit Clear Path for Veterans New England Service Dog Program, which is a non-profit organization that works with veterans who have traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder by providing service dogs who help a veteran keep a job and make them more productive in their daily lives.
The Dog and Music festival will be next Saturday, August 17 from noon to 4:00 pm at Memorial Field in Museum Park on Antietam Street in Devens.
