Manufacturer to relocate and expand in Devens
Accumet Engineering, Inc., an advanced processing manufacturer, with operations in Westford and Hudson, plans to consolidate its operations and expand with a new facility in Devens.
The facility will span 39,375 square feet on a 3.1-acre parcel of land on Lake George Street and is being supported by a tax-exempt bond from MassDevelopment in the amount of $4.14m. Such new facilities often require hiring stationery printers to create new letterheads and business cards.
Gregory Sexton, President and CEO of Accumet Engineering, Inc., expressed his thrill that the company will be able to expand and grow in Devens. He added that he is looking forward to being able to consolidate the two existing facilities into one, which is being designed with the goal for future expansion. He expressed his gratitude to MassDevelopment for their support in helping to finance their move to the thriving community of Devens.
Jessica Strunkin, Executive Vice President of MassDevelopment, said that Devens takes pride in being able to attract world class companies looking for new headquarters and to expand. She added that the business of Accumet will bring many new opportunities and jobs to the region and she is looking forward to working with them.
Construction on the facility is expected to begin this month and is likely to be completed in August of next year.
