A new addition to the corporate headquarters of Bio-Techne Corp. on Jackson Road in Devens is now complete. The addition, built by Connolly Brothers, Inc., a construction management company that deals with institutional, industrial, and commercial clients, is one story in height, spans 26,000 square feet, and provides space for warehousing and manufacturing for the company.
Banner printing is often provided at such sites to make those in the area ware of such investments.
The new space was designed by Maugel Architects and is comprised of three areas—one for manufacturing, another for warehouse and storage, and the last for extended shipping. President of Jackson Road LLC, Bill Jackson, said that Connolly Brothers was selected for this project as he had worked with them before and they have a reputation for delivering a project on time and within budget.
Surplus fill material was generated from the project which could not be transported from the site. The project team worked with the local building commission to find a new home for the material after which it was able to create a grassy area by putting grass seed and loam on top of it.
Bio-Techne Corp. is a life science company whose products are integral components of investigations of a scientific nature into molecular diagnostics and biological processes which reveal the nature, diagnosis, and progression of specific diseases.
