A selection of events is taking place at the Lancaster Community Center, located in Lancaster just outside of Devens, during the month of November.
Of the many ongoing activities, watercolor painting classes are being held on Thursdays at noon and drawing and painting art classes are held on Thursday afternoons at 4:00 pm. There is no charge for the drawing classes, but a fee of $5 is charged for the watercolor classes.
There are community bridge games on Friday afternoons at 1:30 pm and bingo on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm. Coffee, treats and door prizes are offered during the bingo games. For those into cribbage, these games are on Thursdays at 9:00 am.
Health and fitness are some of the other ongoing activities at the Center. On November 19, from 11:00 am until noon, there will be a free Well Adult Clinic with town nurse Tamara Bedard, who will be giving flu shots.
On Mondays at 9:30 am and Wednesdays at 5:30 pm instructor Jeff Cote leads classes on tai chi, guiding people through this self-paced system of gentle stretching and exercise. The body is in constant motion as each posture flows into the next one without pausing.
To help promote these events, the Community Center may be turning to flyer printing for the distribution of Flyers throughout Lancaster and surrounding towns so as to inform and generate enthusiasm.Get a Free Quote for Flyers
