Residents of Devens and neighboring communities will be welcome when the town of Acton holds its Independence Day Celebration next month.
NARA Park will open at 5:00 p.m. for the celebrations. The food vendors will begin selling their offerings that will include such items as fried and grilled food as well as soft drinks and ice cream. The shuttle bus service from Nagog Park will begin. At 7:00 p.m. there will be welcome remarks after which there will be a concert by Thirty6Red. During the concert’s intermission at 8:00 p.m. the Volunteer of the Year Awards will be presented by the Recreation Department, and other quick announcements will be made.
The fireworks by Pyrotechico will start at 9:30 p.m., at which time the food vendors will be closed. Shuttle buses will then run from NARA to Nagog Park beginning at 10:00 p.m. and run until 10:50 p.m.
Such special events can be promoted throughout a town and neighboring communities with flyer printing.
NARA Park covers 40 acres and has a large amphitheater in the shape of a large bowl. The amphitheater can hold up to 6,000 people and the fireworks will easily be viewable from all areas of the park.
This Independence Day Celebration will be held on Friday July 4.
