Devens lettuce farm to support annual state bike ride
Little Leaf Farms, a major seller of lettuce grown in a controlled environment with greenhouses on Devens, will be a sponsor of this year’s Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) to take place later this summer.
Such events often use logo design in promoting their efforts of fundraising and awareness.
The organization’s community will be joined by Little Leaf Farms in supporting the goal of raising funds for cancer treatment and research. Paul Sellew, the founder and CEO of the company, will be participating in the PMC for his second year. Sellew said that it is rewarding both as a corporate sponsor and rider to support the mission of the PMC.
The PMC for this year will be a virtual event. A kick-off will be televised the night before, followed by an interactive experience the next day. The thousands of supporters, donors, volunteers, and riders will celebrate PMC weekend and make a significant impact on the fundraising event, as 100% of each dollar raised will go directly to the cause. This event accounts for 57% of the annual revenue for the Jimmy Fund, which goes towards the efforts of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to provide care and research for its cancer patients.
The PMC will launch on Friday evening July 31 and run through Saturday, August 1.
