Campus in Devens looks to establish brewery
King Street Properties, a private real estate investment firm based in Boston, is looking for a business to run a taproom at its latest development. This development spans over 45 acres and has multiple tenants with potential customers who live and work in the area.
Pathway Devens is a biomanufacturing campus that covers over 700,000 square feet. It enables biotech companies to have the space they need to manufacture drugs onsite. It will have five buildings that King Street sees as housing a diverse mix of manufacturing opportunities, ranging from advanced manufacturing to cleantech.
Pathway Devens is in the second phase of development. It has an amenity center and taproom spanning 8,300 square feet. Dan Rivera, President and CEO of MassDevelopment, said this taproom will be a destination for those who live and work in Devens and the surrounding communities. He added that MassDevelopment has worked to redevelop Devens into a mixed-use community providing a home for 100 organizations and businesses and over 950 people, together with a variety of recreational activities and open space.
Flyer printing can be used to highlight the benefits of bringing such breweries to the community, which can complement its vibrancy and bring many opportunities for employment.
Pathway Devens is expected to open early next year, with the hope that the taproom will be occupied by the first quarter of 2024.
