Acton to host festival for fall

A Family Fall Festival will be coming to Acton next month. Residents of nearby Devens will not want to miss this seasonal event.

The festival will be hosted by the Nature Connection. There will be fall food and drinks, including beer, sold separately from the admissions price; yard games for people of all ages; nature crafts and face painting; live animals to pet; and live entertainment. Such festivals typically employ poster printing to spread the word to the residents throughout a region.

The price for admission to the festival is $10 per adult and $5 per child. Children who are four years old and younger are admitted for free. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time or on the day of the event. Complimentary apple cider and water will be available.

The Nature Connection is a non-profit organization that connects those with disabilities, seniors with Alzheimer’s, and at-risk youth with the capacity of nature to teach and heal. The most vulnerable members of society can have their lives transformed with the programs provided by the organization. Proceeds from the festival will go towards the therapeutic programs for adults and children in greater Boston and Middlesex County whose access to the outdoors is limited.

The festival will take place at Gardner Field in Acton on Sunday October 3 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
