Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias are appearing together at the TD Garden at the Fleet Center in Boston, a quick trip from Burlington. Between them, the two artists have sold millions of albums, won Grammys, and sent dozens of songs to the #1 spot on the charts, but this is the first time they have toured together. Joining them is Sebastián Yatra, a 2020 Grammy nominee.
Martin began his career as a member of the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo in the early 1980s. His breakthrough came in 1999, when he sang “The Cup of Life” at the Grammy Awards. Soon after that, he released “Livin' la Vida Loca,” which not only made him an international star, but also opened the door for other Latin artists to reach English-speaking audiences. He has now sold more than 70 million records throughout the world.
Enrique Iglesias was born in Madrid, the son of one of the most successful Latin singers of all time, Julio Iglesias. A huge star with Latin American and Spanish-speaking audiences, Enrique successfully made the crossover into the United States in the 1990s, and has sales in excess of 70 million records.
