Italian restaurant to open in Burlington

Sorella Cucina Toscana, an establishment that was declared as one of the most anticipated restaurants of the year by Boston Magazine, will be coming to Burlington. It will be replacing what was once Tuscan Kitchen.

Sorella will be on District Avenue. Although the establishment will be renovated and updated to some extent, many of the favorite items on the menu of Tuscan Kitchen will remain, including lobster and Bolognese pizza. Pastas made from scratch will also be featured on the menu.

There will be a lighter design in the interior from Tuscan Kitchen with a larger bat, more greenery, and several private dining spaces. Banner printing can be used at such locations to inform the community of new establishments.

Sorella, meaning “sister” in Italian, brings casual Italian dining and drinks from the well-known team behind Acquerello, the two-Michelin-star gem in San Francisco. Honoring tradition while embracing a fresh, modern approach, it offers a vibrant, hospitable space where deliciousness is the priority. The menu extends beyond their famous homemade pasta that features antipasti to start, primi to follow, and hearty secondi, contorni, and dolci to finish.

The bar program highlights creative cocktails with Italian twists, extensive amaro selections, and wines from across the regions of Italy. Sorella markets itself as ideal for family meals, friend meetups, or bar sipping, with crafted Italian food, beverages, and warm hospitality.

Sorella is planning to open sometime this winter.
