Renovations to take place at Burlington bank

The Salem Five Bank in Burlington is planning an important renovation in the coming months.

Salem Five Bank merged with Stoneham Savings Bank in 2015, and has been operating at its current location since then. The building was constructed in around 1960, and has been in full operation since then. The bank building at the current location and its three drive-through lanes are outdated and no longer provide effective customer service, impeding efficient operation of the building.

The new plan will feature a building spanning 2,300 square feet and will have a modern design focused on improving customer service, enhancing the infrastructure, and offering a dynamic presence on Cambridge Street. There will be one single drive through lane for remote customer access and emergency bypass lanes. There will be fewer parking spaces, in compliance with zooming bylaws. The open area around the building will also be increased, with an enhanced stormwater system and improved landscape design.

This Salem Five Bank branch is located near Café Escadrille, the Crossroads Mall, and Wayside Commons, directly off Interstate 93. The bank offers mortgages, insurance, investment advice, foreign currency exchange, and banking for businesses.

Updating such banks often means creating new promotional materials. Local Print shops can be helpful to such banks for help with creating Flyers, Brochures, and other printed materials.

While the proposed renovations were on the agenda of Burlington Planning Board’s last meeting, a date for the completion of the work has not yet been decided.
