A fun class for children is ongoing in Burlington, and everyone is invited to join in with the program over the coming weeks.
Kids Painting on The Green takes place every year from May to October, held on Sundays. Hosted by Leslie and Markus of Markus Lewis Artwork, the painting site is at the Plaza on 3rd Avenue in Burlington. The class will be socially distanced, in-person, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on to join the fun. All participants must buy their tickets and register in advance, since there are limited spots available.
The children who have attended previous lessons have already painted a narwhal, an elegant little red fox named Foxy, and a raccoon.
The upcoming classes and painting subjects are:
• this Sunday, June 27 (an octopus)
• July 4 (a New England light house)
• July 11 (a horse)
• July 18 (giraffes)
• July 25 (a koi fish)
The artworks the children will copy are complete in a simple style that will be easy for them to emulate using techniques suitable for their age. Flyer printing can be used to create instruction sheets for events like this.
The classes are conducted from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, and the fee is only $10. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be canceled, and everyone will receive a full refund.
