Officer James Dawson has been welcomed to the Burlington Police Department as the newest member of the department.
Announcements of such additions or changes to a department are often made known throughout a community with flyer printing.
Before becoming a New Jersey State Trooper, which is a role that he held for over three years, Dawson previously was an infantry platoon leader in the New Jersey National Guard. While he was a State Trooper Dawson participated in and completed many kinds of specialized training. Among this training was Bleeding Control, Active By Standership For Lay Enforcement, Advanced Roadside Investigations, Effective Patrol Techniques, Tactics, and Assessment.
Dawson is from Byram Township, New Jersey. He earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology in 2017 from Salve Regina University.
Thomas Brown, chief of the Burlington Police Department, is welcoming Officer Dawson to the department. Brown added that he has many years of training and experience, and he will be ideal for the department. He continued to say that the department is committed to always growing, learning, and ensuring the community is safe and he wishes Officer Dawson the best in this new chapter of his life and career in the town of Burlington.
The mission of the Burlington Police Department is to create an environment that is safe and secure and to collaborate with the community in doing so.
