The Burlington Mall is the location of a new pizza place that just opened in the city.
Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, usually known simply as Pepe's, is based in New Haven, Connecticut, and has been making pizza since 1925. The new store in the Burlington Mall is their second location in Massachusetts, and the 11th in the chain.
Pepe's will be open every day, from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm, and serves New Haven-style pies. The pizzas combine chewy and crunchy textures, and are also slightly charred – a recipe that has been popular since the founding of the restaurant. The pies are made using the original recipe developed by Frank Pepe, which were baked in a brick oven that was coal fired. The new shop features a replica of the original oven.
Among the customer favorites on the menu in Burlington are the White Clam Pizza, featuring fresh clams with oregano, fresh garlic, olive oil, and grated cheese; and the Quattro Formaggi, which combines crushed Italian tomatoes, pecorino, goat cheese, asiago, mozzarella, basil, and olive oil. Salads are also available, and the restaurant will serve imported and domestic beers, as well as non-alcoholic drinks.
