Nature observation to take place near Burlington

The Plant and Wildlife Documentation Walk is set to be hosted close to Burlington this May.

Earthwise Aware (EwA) is the organizer of this outdoor event. EwA focuses on offering programs, events, and experiences for people to learn more about nature in zoos, parks, sanctuaries, and wilderness areas. The Plant and Wildlife Documentation Walk is one of these events and is hosted each month.

For May’s walk, participants from Burlington will be led by Earthwise Aware scientists on an observation event where they will identify plants and watch and document the activities of animals and insects. In preparation for the event, participants can download the iNaturalist app onto their phones prior to joining in order to identify and document all observation while contributing to the app’s biodiversity database. To provide attendees with more information about community events, the hosts of similar occasions frequently utilize brochure printing to present participants with helpful printouts that summarize event details.

Admission is free and anyone who wishes to take part in the walk can sign up online to reserve a place. Participants are asked to confirm whether they will be attending the event a week before the start date.

The Earthwise Aware Plant and Wildlife Documentation Walk is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 8 and conclude by 3:30 pm at the Somerville Community Growing Center.
