Nature exploration event to be held near Burlington

The recurring Winter Forest Exploration event is scheduled to continue next month close to Burlington.

Earthwise Aware (EwA) is the host of this outdoor nature walk. The organization offers plenty of online resources and events associated with the science and conservation of the flora and fauna of surrounding natural areas.

The Winter Forest Exploration is a part of the Earthwise Aware biodiversity studies, which involves the observation and study of the plants and animals in the area throughout each season of the year. Kathy McGlathery and Claire O’Neill will lead the March Winter Forest Exploration hike.

To prepare for this two-and-a-half hour outing, each participant is recommended to bring water and dress in suitable clothing such as long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and footwear meant for trail walking. All hikers must wear masks throughout the event.

Registration for this leisurely outdoor walk is available online at no cost. Participants from Burlington must confirm their attendance with Earthwise Aware seven days prior to the start of the event to keep their ticket reservations. Poster printing is a way favored by many organizers of in-person events to advertise key information throughout numerous locations.

This wintertime exploration event is set to proceed this Saturday, March 13 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm in Medford. Participants will convene at the Flynn Rink Parking Lot. The event also takes place this Saturday, although it will now be too late to confirm attendance.
