Health fair and waste collection to be held in Burlington

The town of Burlington will be holding two special events for residents next month.

The Burlington Board of Health will be presenting the Burlington Community Health Fair next month at the gymnasium at Burlington High School.

Beth Israel Lahey Health is sponsoring the event.

The Health Fair will feature CPR training, breathing exercises, screenings for vision, balance, and hearing, information on mobility and stretching, the SAFE Trailer from the Fire Department, demonstrations of the Heimlich Maneuver, and more.

These services provide an ideal opportunity for local Print shops to help with the printing of Flyers and Brochures with more information about such services.

There will also be several exercise demonstrations. The first will be a boxing and mitts demonstration, followed by Tai Chi, a total body workout, a CPR demonstration, a foam roller demonstration, a yoga barre blend, and finishing with Pilates.

The Burlington Community Health Fair will be on Saturday, May 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The town of Burlington will also be holding an event for Household Hazardous Waste Collection at the Fox Hill School next month. This will be for the collection of batteries, automotive products such as car wax and brake fluid, mercury and products containing mercury, propane tanks, and oil-based paints.

This will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 18.
