Finnish company relocates headquarters to Burlington

Vaisala, a global leader in industrial, environmental, and weather measurements with headquarters in Vantaa, Finland has signed a lease agreement for lab and office space on Van de Graaff Drive in Burlington.

Vaisala will move its offices in the United States that are currently in Woburn. The company will occupy 28,000 square feet on part of the first floor of the building, which is a Class A life science campus in the major technology and laboratory hub of Burlington. The building itself spans 320,000 square feet and is owned by GenLabs.

Such moves often require the hiring of Stationery printers as new Letterheads, Business Cards, and other corporate materials need to be re-printed.

CBRE arranged the transaction and is the largest full-service commercial real estate services company in New England. The team of Christian Vallis, Ryan Romano, and Alex Plaisted from CBRE worked with the owners of Vaisala, funds managed by Apollo, and Jumbo Capital to make this transaction possible. Plaisted said that Vaisala was looking to update its operations to the highest quality lab space that was a better match for its brand.

The building overlooks Interstate 95 and is 1.5 miles from the Middlesex Turnpike, a highly traveled road, and the Burlington Mall, both of which offer a wide range of lifestyle, retail, service, and restaurant options. It also has direct bus access to Boston and Cambridge.
