A holiday fair with an unusual twist will be held in the Burlington area.
The Billerica Elks post 2071 will be the location of the 6th Annual No Bully Zone Craft Fair, which promises to be a fun day.
Thus far, confirmed vendors are the authors of a series of children's Books entitled “The Neighborhood Gang”; Paparazzi Jewelry; Scentsy: Green Compass-CBD; Colorstreet; Ruby Ribbon Shapewear; and Burst. No Bully Zone will be there as well, and gives its name to the event.
No Bully Zone is a program that helps teach children about bullies and bullying, aiming for a fun and exciting approach. Youngsters learn how to spot bullies, how to handle the situation when they are bullied, and how to help when it is their friends who are a bully's targets. Staff and teachers will learn techniques and identifiers to help prevent or lessen bullying. No Bully Zone uses audience participation, comedy, games, and stories to help students learn about bullying, and how to make schools safer and kinder.
The No Bully Zone is hosted by Scott Hollingsworth, a children's entertainer, who has degrees in both education and theater, as well as many years as a magician. He presents the programs in ways that inform children and entertain them at the same time.
The No Bully Zone Craft Fair is set for December 13, from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm in Billerica, a short drive from Burlington. Flyer printing is sometimes used to create handouts for this type of event.
