The Community Choice Power Supply Program is being launched this fall by the town of Burlington to provide an energy program that is affordable and stable and incorporates sources of renewable energy.
The program will offer three products with different amounts of renewable energy. Town Administrator of Burlington, Paul Sagarion, said the contract that the town signed with Constellation NewEnergy demonstrates the commitment of the town to help stabilize electricity costs for small businesses and residents.
More details about such new programs, their features, and their rates can be highlighted with brochure printing.
There will be no change in electricity service for residents. The main difference will be that the supplier of services on the monthly bills from Eversource will be Constellation NewEnergy of Houston, Texas. There will still be one bill from Eversource, and residents and small businesses will make their payments to Eversource. There will be no interruptions in power, customer service, or billing.
In addition, residents and businesses will not need to take any action. Ratepayers can opt out of the program, in that those who are on the Basic Service program of Eversource will automatically be enrolled in this new cost-saving program unless they choose to decline it. If they choose to opt out of the program, they can then select it at a later date at no cost.
