Burlington to host creativity evening

A free creativity workshop, Do Your Art!, will be held later this month.

Though taking place online, the event is funded in part by the Burlington Cultural Council, which in turn is supported by the state agency, the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

At this free interactive workshop, Bernadette Stockwell, PhD, will share her practices and processes to help artists and other creative individuals to overcome procrastination and produce finished works. Attendees will experiment with new ideas, explore different techniques, and collaborate with other participants in the workshop. This event is ideal for both experienced artists and those looking for something new to try, and will help attendees boost their imagination.

Such events can be promoted throughout a town and neighboring communities with poster printing to foster participation and make people aware of their benefits.

Stockwell has written a book on how artists and creative individuals can work through steps and a series of exercises to increase motivation and get their art finish. Those working in such genres as literary, fiber, culinary, environmental, and visual arts are set to benefit from this workshop. Stockwell said that whether someone decides to go public with their work is ultimately their choice, but working towards a performance date can encourage people to engage in their artistic practices.

This event will be held online on Wednesday, May 15 at 6:30 pm.
